Cleveland MOTTEP

Vaccine Awareness Campaign

Situation

In 2021, Cleveland MOTTEP (Minority Organ and Tissue Transplant Education Program) was granted funding from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Foundation to implement an influenza and COVID-19 marketing campaign.

Cleveland MOTTEP continued its longtime partnership with Sweeney to create a multifaceted vaccine awareness campaign.

Strategies

A call to good citizenship

We developed the creative strategy, campaign identity and messaging for all campaign marketing materials, including outdoor advertising, website, social media, newsletters, press releases, bumper stickers and yard signs.

Sustained visibility

The campaign ran from June 2021 to April 2022, and followed vaccine recommendations and crucial information from the Centers for Disease Control.

Results

The campaign drove 14.5% of vaccinations among the target population, which focused on two key ZIP codes within Cleveland.

Based on the results and vaccine numbers, MOTTEP has continued to be awarded the grant from the CDC.

Sweeney was eager to assist with all of our communication and marketing needs, and did an excellent job of conveying our message to our target audience.”
