The Significance of 1986

Let me take you back to 1986 when…

  • Smoking was banned on all public transport including trains, planes, buses and coaches.
  • The first 10 musicians were inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
  • Disney’s The Great Mouse Detective marked the first major use of computer animation in an animated film
  • The Internet Mail Access Protocol is defined, opening the way for email.
  • Sweeney opened its doors for business. We officially celebrate our 26-year anniversary on October 8. After starting her career with Edelman in Chicago, Jennifer joined Sweeney and quickly established herself as an exceptional industry innovator. In 2004, she opened Sweeney’s first full-service office outside of Cleveland and quickly rose through the ranks to become agency president. Jen leads by example and without fear. She has been critical to agency growth throughout the past decade and continues to lead the agency into the future.
